Hands up who’s ever visited Eataly for some Christmas shopping? While this wonderland of Italian food is great for stocking fillers, Eataly Rome is also preparing to host a rather special Christmas supper, this Thursday, December 7th. As you’d imagine with Eataly, it isn’t going to be any old Christmas dinner but will see dishes from Italian super chefs including Enrico Panero, Paolo Trippini and Oreste Romagnolo light up the night.

So head on down to Eataly in Ostiense, where you can taste a different gourmet dinner at each restaurant, accompanied by a glass of bubbly from the Eataly Enoteca – both for a very reasonable €12 – as well as desserts created especially for the occasion, priced on the whole at €6.

For example, Domenico Stile (Enoteca La Torre Restaurant – 1 Michelin Star) is preparing an elegant pasta dish dressed with pumpkin, mint and smoked tomato, paired with a glass of Brut Metodo Charmat Cuvée Tradition Verdicchio Colonnara, and followed by a dessert from pastry chef Chiara Caruso of Cafè Merenda, comprising Panna Cotta with persimmon sauce and marron glacé.

Iside Maria De Cesare (La Parolina di Trevinano, 1 Michelin Star), will present cappelletti stuffed with cinta senese in smoked broth, accompanied by a glass of Extra Brut Rosè Classic Method Principiano, and followed with chocolate and orange panettone with orange soaked in coffee, salted butter caramel and zabaglione cream created by Gianluca Fiorino from La Portineria.

Luciano Villani of La Locanda del Borgo (1 Michelin Star) will prepare baccalà, curly endive and olives, paired with a sparkling wine from Ferrari, specifically the perlé Millesimato Trento Doc. To follow, a special Christmas Cassata inspired by Sicilian cuisine.

If that wasn’t enough, look out too for gourmet dishes from Eataly’s executive chef Enrico Panero, as well as star chefs Paolo Trippini, Massimo Viglietti and Oreste Romagnolo in the other restaurants on the same evening. One thing’s for sure – you’re going to be spoilt for choice!

Doors open at 19.00 on Thursday – don’t miss it! For more details about the menus, check this page on the Eataly website – and see you there!
