Sometimes, even when you’re in a city where food has a cult of its own and regional cuisine rarely disappoints, you just have to have a change. Enter the Hard Rock Cafe Rome: live music and DJ sets, friendly staff, cool cocktails and a menu whose predictability makes it the ultimate in comfort food.

With a location on Via Veneto, where Rome’s smart set once ruled the roost, you might wonder how the Hard Rock’s punks and pop princesses are regarded. There’s an international vibe about this street these days, home to some of the city’s swankiest five star hotels, so the restaurant’s hallowed halls filled with rock-royalty memorabilia actually fit right in.

Every Hard Rock Cafe is as unique as its memorabilia, and the one in Rome is no different. Some of the highlights include John Lennon’s trench coat, dating from his hyper-political period in the 1970s, Jimi Hendrix’s patchwork suit, and guitars that belonged to Tom Petty, Eddie Val Halen and Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Look out, too, for collectors’ items from Queen, Elton John and the Foo Fighters – as well as innumerable concert posters, flyers and platinum discs.

Part of the Hard Rock Cafe’s appeal are those burgers, but the Hard Rock Café Rome also likes to shake things up with some pretty rad innovations such as afternoon cocktails with DJ sets. Follow the social media pages for more info,

Hard Rock Rome also serves a Sunday Brunch at certain times of the year. Sharing plates include baked eggs with red peppers, spinach and feta cheese, topped with grilled vegetables; southern fried chicken, bacon, chipolatas, grilled tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and waffles, as well as toasted bagels and pancakes accompanied with maple syrup, butter and salmon cream.
